You know you're an Indy baby if

You know you're an Indy Baby if...
- You had at least one birthday party at Showbiz Pizza ("Where a kid can be a kid!").
- You took a field trip to Conner Prairie in the 4th Grade.
- One of your "special privilege" field trips in elementary school or junior high was to a Practice Day at the track.
- You can identify the "types" that go with each side of town.
- You dressed "cool" to hang out in Broad Ripple on Saturday afternoons.
- Your parents or grandparents worked at Allison Transmission.
- You still call it Deer Creek.
- You remember the Hoosier Millionaire TV show.
- You get the giggles during Peter Francis Geraci and Vaughn Wamsley commercials.
- You get the giggles, and are very disturbed, during Don's Guns commercials.
- You're willing to bet that the man in the pick-up truck waiting next to you at the red light is listening to Q95.
- You call IUPUI "ooey-pooey."
- In the wintertime, you memorize where all the really bad chuckholes are so you can avoid driving in those lanes.
- You call them "chuckholes."
- In elementary school, you collected stickers on your Book-It pin so you could get your free personal pan pizza at Pizza Hut.
- You know the story of Ryan White.
- You know that, even if you are in the city or suburbs, you can drive fifteen minutes to find yourself in a cornfield.
- You remember when Marsh didn't use to be so posh.
- You've driven more than an hour to attend a small town summer festival.
- You remember going to a drive-in when you were younger, but that drive-in's long been demolished.
- You remember when such-n-such shopping center used to be a field.
- You remember when such-n-such housing development used to be a field.
- Your school cafeteria served a massive pork tenderloin between two tiny buns.
- Your school cafeteria served "chicken fried steak."
- You remember when Union Station was a shopping mall with an awesome arcade upstairs.
- The first thing you look(ed) for when flying into the city was the "Hoosier Dome."
- You love Bob Gregory, and you love his son, Kevin Gregory.
- You always wondered why Diane Willis pronounced her name "Dee-ohn."
- Your Saturday Morning cartoons ended with "At the Zoo" - based out of the Indianapolis Zoo.
- You go to Shapiro's to get your corned beef sandwich fix.
- You're still trying to figure out when Zionsville became a suburb.
- The men in your family talk about the famous racing families like they're personal friends.
- You remember the Wholesale Club as the original bulk-shopping-experience.
- You know about the giant "rocket ship slides" at Broad Ripple Park.
- You've seen The Nutcracker at Clowes Hall during Christmas.
- You've ice skated at the Pepsi Coliseum.
- You know the back way into Castleton to avoid traffic on the weekends.
- On Friday and Saturday nights in high school, you hung out at a Steak N Shake.
- You took 4-H classes when you were a kid.
- You can identify the regional accents of everyone else in America, but you really don't think YOU have an accent.
- You went to Thunder Island in your youth.
- You went to Indiana Beach in your youth. When you hear that motto, "There's more than corn in Indiana," you laugh a silent laugh at the irony.
- You remember, and may even have met, Commander KC from Channel 4.
- You have participated at a fire safety event at your local McDonald's and shaken hands with an overgrown dalmatian.
- You remember McGruff the Crime Dog telling you to "Take a bite out of crime."
- You remember the name of your class's D.A.R.E. officer.
- You've hiked at Turkey Run.
- In a taste test, you'd know the difference between a birthday cake from Marsh and a birthday cake from Kroger.
- Someone in your family, maybe even YOU, makes a possessive out of store names: Kroger's, Meijer's, etc.
- Your first ear piercing experience was at Claire's in the mall.
- You've been around for the various stages of development at the Glendale shopping mall, and you've been wondering all these years why they don't just tear the whole thing down, already.
- In school, you always saw someone from your class on the airplane on the way to Florida, or at the beach in Florida.
- You know you can't buy alcohol in the store on Sundays.
- You can remember every time the USA skating rink painted their logo a different color on the side of their building.
- You know that Memorial Day can either be really sunny and warm and summery, or that it might snow instead.
- You know that Halloween can be either really sunny and warm and summery, or that it might snow instead.
- You know which neighborhoods to hit up during Christmastime to see all the best Christmas lights/decorations.
- You've gone fishing at Eagle Creek.
- The Old Oaken Bucket game is SERIOUS BUSINESS.
- You drank Faygo Redpop until your teeth stained pink.
- You've watched fireworks Downtown.
- You've been to the Christmas lights ceremony on the Circle.
- You remember a time BEFORE Circle Center Mall.
